Lighthouse Psychology Practice is a group of clinical psychologist who met whilst working together within the NHS and whilst occupying senior roles in NHS teams, now offer independent private psychology services. We aim to utilise our experience and knowledge to guide and shed light during turbulent times. We believe that as a team of practitioners we can bring some of the security of an NHS service but in a more accessible context. There are many reasons that lead people to seek psychological therapy and fortunately the importance of doing so gathers ever increasing media attention.
We are all chartered psychologists with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered practitioner psychologists with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC), the two main bodies that ensure good practice and standards.
We have all completed postgraduate training in clinical psychology to doctorate level and as a result have knowledge and expertise in numerous therapy approaches (rather than just training in one). We are passionate about promoting emotional well-being and supporting people to take steps to improve their quality of life. We recognise that each person is navigating their own journey and pride ourselves on matching evidence-based approaches to each person’s unique story and needs. Whatever the cause of psychological turbulence in your life, like a lighthouse, it is our mission to provide guidance and comfort so that you can steer yourself towards calmer and more prosperous waters.
